Overview
Eyelan has been separated from his beholder family for as long as he can remember.
He believes he was abandoned for having a heart that was too soft and dreams that were too big.
Though he loved deeply, that love had nowhere to go, leaving him empty and lonely.
He wandered the lands searching for someone who might return his affection, but every attempt ended the same, rejection, fear, and disgust. Each insult cut him down, made him painfully self-conscious, and when people mocked or recoiled from him, he sometimes lashed out, turning them to stone before they could hurt him further.
Eventually, Eyelan learned of the Cave of Love outside Qino, a place said to reveal one’s true soulmate.
Hopeful but cautious, he waited outside the city walls, unwilling to enter without permission. He sent small eyeball minions into Qino to search for possible lovers while he waited.
When a councilman finally confronted him, refusing both his request for love and access to the cave, Eyelan’s heartbreak snapped into anger, he petrified the man on the spot.
About a week later, Thraine appeared. For Eyelan, it was love at first sight. Their first kiss sealed a bond he had spent his whole life longing for. From that moment on, Eyelan’s story was no longer one of loneliness, but of the love he found in Thraine. Thraine × Eyelan <3
