Overview
Sylas is a tiefling whose outlook is shaped by both tragedy and resilience. Though outcast from society, he carries the perspective of once having been human and still believes people can look past his appearance to the person within.
Rooted in the customs of Autumngrove, he clings to that sense of belonging even as he carves out a life on the fringes. Disciplined from his years under the harsh rule of Cattivu’s Will, he approaches his goals with focus, though the scars of that time also left him overly trusting of others.
He fears heights from his childhood death, a reminder of mortality that lingers in the back of his mind.
While not a tactician or leader, Sylas thrives through confidence, emotional intuition, and practical wisdom. He earns trust when given the chance and embodying the quiet strength of someone determined to live true to himself despite chaos.
After joining Druecia’s Finest, Sylas would find a home embarking on many interesting quests. Sylas’ true intentions were difficult to make out, but it seemed like his moods and attitudes changed rapidly.
Haunted by the curse, chains that would come to him in sporadic visions, Sylas became directionless and increasingly evil.
His missteps would return to haunt him at the Eastern Conclave, where Tucker Glindley would attempt to arrest Sylas along with a slew of guards. Sylas runs, but is ultimately unable to slip out of the Conclave alive. He lets the curse take over him, subjecting Sylas’ soul to become trapped within his own body.
A now-possessed Sylas turns himself into the Autumngrove authorities, and his current status is unknown.

Background
Sylas was born human in Autumngrove and lived a safe, normal childhood until a tragic accident claimed his life—only for him to be mysteriously resurrected as a Tiefling.
Cast out and forced to survive young, he grew street-smart and found solace in the wilderness, developing a passion for plants. Taken in by the cult of Cattivu’s Will, he endured brutal discipline and forged deep bonds, but his wild magic surges marked him as a liability.
Escaping execution by sheer chance, he disguised himself and returned to Autumngrove, studying botany and befriending Lionel—until another surge revealed his true nature, forcing him to flee once more.
