The Szin-Ka Dominion still stands within the Umbra Heart Jungle, with the capital of Szu-Zi and the trade hub of Szi-Ku maintaining a façade of their ancient prosperity. Yet, the foundation of their existence has been torn away.
The lizardfolk’s culture was built on a deep devotion to the The World Tree, a devotion that now reeks of hypocrisy. They once claimed that the Tree’s roots connected all living things; they revered Priests who ostensibly listened to the Tree’s whispers; and they returned their dead to the soil to honor an eternal cycle of life. They were the guardians of the jungle, ruled by Druids and traditions that held nature as sacred above all else.
And yet, these same guardians were instrumental in the World Tree’s annihilation.
Given their marked spiritual connection to the land, their collaboration with the Empire is perplexing. It is unknown if the Dominion’s betrayal was a calculated move, perhaps influenced by the Eye of Cattivu, or a desperate error. Whatever the cause, it is unclear if the Szin-Ka have been rewarded for their treachery, or if they are now slowly dying alongside the very entity they once worshipped
