It is whispered that Grimrest’s rulers struck a dark bargain long ago, agreeing to imprison criminals within the tower as offerings for ancient spirits to feed upon. In return, these malevolent entities spare Grimrest from their wrath, ensuring the kingdom’s safety from supernatural forces.
Only one man, Jericho Freeman, claims to have ventured inside the tower and returned. He recounts chilling tales of horrors beyond comprehension—corpses reanimated by demonic possession, moving through dim halls and worshiping indescribable, otherworldly beings. Jericho insists he himself fell victim to possession, plagued nightly by terrifying visions compelling him to return.
Though most locals dismiss Jericho as eccentric or mad, his tales continue to spread, cementing the tower as a pervasive local nightmare.
