Aetheryn is a city built among towering mountains and floating sky islands in the heart of the Amethyst Vale. Originally founded by the Air Genasi, the city has since welcomed Eladrin and elves from the surrounding region. The people of Aetheryn are fiercely protective of their lands, maintaining deep magical ties to the surrounding valley and sky.
Though Aetheryn is an independent state, it maintains a close alliance with the Kingdom of Almera in exchange for military protection. In return, Aetheryn restricts passage through the nearby river to prevent movement from Druecia. However, the river itself is naturally hostile — filled with jagged rocks and treacherous rapids, making it nearly impossible to navigate.
