At the northern edge of the Ember Woods lies Pyraxius’ Keep, an ancient and imposing fortress nestled amongst the rugged peaks of the mountains that surround the forest. This keep serves as both the personal stronghold and a sanctuary for Pyraxius, the mighty red dragon, and his most loyal followers. The keep is home to a devoted group of Dragonborn who have pledged their allegiance to Pyraxius, living in harmony with the powerful creature they revere. Towering over the keep is a massive statue of Pyraxius, sculpted from deep red stone that seems to shimmer like the very embers of a fire. The statue serves as a reminder of the dragon’s dominance and the reverence his followers hold for him.

Within the keep, Pyraxius has created an elaborate and mystical chamber—The Trials of Pyraxius—designed to test the worth of those who seek to prove themselves. It is said that hidden deep within the keep’s complex, a powerful weapon waits for the one who can endure the trials and emerge victorious. The trials themselves are steeped in ancient magic, each designed to challenge both the body and spirit. Many have attempted to claim the weapon over the years, but none have succeeded in proving themselves worthy. The weapon, however, remains untouched, awaiting the right individual.
