The Crying Lands
When the explosion destroyed the northern half of Lunaris Point three years ago, nearly a million lives were lost. The devastation left behind more than just ruins—it left an echo of suffering. Survivors claim that even now, they can still hear the faint cries and screams of the dead carried on the ocean breeze. This haunted stretch of land has since become known as The Crying Lands.
The Crying Lands are completely uninhabitable. A mysterious green gas blankets the area, burning to the touch and killing all life that once thrived there. Nothing grows in the Crying Lands, and no creature dares to linger. Despite the city’s efforts to contain the toxic gas, it continues to seep from the massive crater left behind by the explosion.
In desperation, the city has offered a massive reward to anyone brave enough to venture into the crater and uncover the source of the gas. A handful of adventurers have tried—but none have ever returned. Their bodies were never recovered, presumed consumed by the poison that now stains the land.
The cause of the explosion remains a mystery. Was it a natural disaster—a volatile release of pressure from beneath the island? Or was it a calculated attack, perhaps from the rival kingdoms of Druecia? The people of Lunaris Point live under the shadow of this unanswered question, haunted by the fear that whatever caused the devastation could strike again.
