Gorbon’s Tower
To the south of Nyvara, the name Gorbon is spoken with reverence, awe, and a touch of fear. A legendary Firbolg wizard, Gorbon is known for performing feats that many believe to be impossible — bending the very fabric of magic to his will. He is the sole protector of southern Nyvara, and his immense power is the primary reason why the Druecian Empire has not yet dared to colonize the region.
Druecia’s leaders admit, in quiet council, that they have no known means of defeating him — if even half the stories about him are true. Gorbon is said to have made dragons kneel, erased entire Githyanki warbands with a single spell, and summoned storms so fierce they turned away the first Druecian fleet before it could even make landfall. That attempt at invasion was so thoroughly repelled that the empire instead founded Gull’s Landing, far from Gorbon’s domain.
Though many aspiring wizards across the realm seek him out for apprenticeship, Gorbon has never taken a single student. Even the most esteemed arcane masters and court mages openly admit they pale in comparison to his power. To them, Gorbon isn’t just a wizard — he is a force of nature.
