Moonspire forest, we decided to try to gather more flora and fauna samples for the Horizon Pact.
Thraine discovered this animal (with a high roll) and after attempting to tame it multiple ways, it blew up after Thraine produced some honey and tried to feed it (Advantaged animal handling and got 4,4)
We generally failed to gather more flora samples or anything new - White Knight chased us and we had to quickly escape Flew to Suncrest to find possible jobs and refuel - refueling was very expensive in Suncrest (300 in suncrest vs 150 in Albia), we played cards on the way there (Lionel won)
Turned in Moonspire flora and the map, the Albian representatives were not impressed by our findings, we convinced them that we actually went to Moonspire. This was impressive for them and Lionel convinced them that one of Thraine’s glowing trinkets was an elven artifact.
The group was named “Druecia’s Finest” officially (sorry Colin IDK why Sofi signed off) (We can change it but need to as soon as possible according to Ryan) (we aint changing anything) (I think it’s good to get input from the ENTIRE group on this) (not if they were asleep)
Pay out will be handed out at the end of the Horizon Pact, but they are convinced that the “artifact” was real.
Went to the Suncrest quest board, found a missing person quest. Went to the address at 3am and an old woman responded.
She was very weird, seemed to forget that she said certain things - however, received a quest for 800 gold to find and bring back Sheldon (her son) - he was too the far south
We instead were enticed to go to Albia and then Spring Rest for the Mystery of Spring Rest quest.
We refuelled in Albia, Thraine paid the full cost of 150 gold coins and Lionel bought some cigarettes, Thraine almost bought some decorations for the ship but they were too expensive.
Jackson Notes from the rest of the session - Went to Spring Rest to help SD Wallace, whose ships were being robbed by a mysterious enemy. There, he introduced us to the Scooby Gang, who were already on the case. They took us, by cart, to the spot where they set up a trap, but we were sidetracked on the way for some scooby snacks.
Scooby Snacks are sold by a drug dealer, piece of shit. Lives in a shack in the middle of town (important).
Turns out he had a lot of drugs, super grass, scooby snacks, and a mushroom (worth 10k). Lionel and Meowfi tried to smoke him but the DM gave him plot armor. He found out we were trying to kill him and demanded we leave, lest he blow up the shack with the button under his desk (:/ okay pal). We left with no consequence. (Except a luck debuff)
We got to the dock, where the gang had set up a very sound plan, which included a fake boat for the enemy to board, and some net guns. We argued for 15 minutes over who had to be the bait with scooby and shaggy. Thraine was gonna but had a vision of himself drowning (yeah right), and Meowfi attempted to earn a higher cut but Scooby disliked her, so the brave hero had to step in and Lionel board the boat, knowing he was putting his life at risk to save the group. He also took a much higher percentage of the reward. Slander.
After a while, the boat was boarded by the mysterious foe, who taunted the three on the boat. Lionel ended up shooting him but the bullet bounced off (okay DM) (Not a Charlie moment). Benji, the big guy, turned out to be a sweetheart who was following the orders of the new king of Knightscross, King Tyber II. He didn’t want to hurt anyone so Lionel smoothly got some info out of him and convinced him that we should all go back to shore.
At the same time, the others were all ambushed by the king on shore. We are pretty sure Daphne is dead, shot for trying to take off his “mask” (pulling at his head). The King also brought his tiger, who bit off Velma’s hand.
DIEGO RESUMES - The King interrogated Thraine and Meowfi, with Meowfi being uncharacteristically quiet. He talked to Thraine and he admitted what they were doing, who hired them and why the boat was being set up as a trap.
The King, pleased enough, really seemed to like Thraine for some reason and earned royal favor as long as told S.D Wallace a fake story about what happened. The King dragged the gang away to prison - except for Scooby and Shaggy, who Lionel told to meet the group at the docks in Albia.
Came back to Spring Rest, Lionel lied to SD Wallace and said that an old business partner was robbing him and that the attacks should stop. Knightcross will now get away for their piracy to the benefit of the Druecian Empire and the determent of Faywharf.
We received 3000 gold, split 1300 for Lionel and 850 for Meowfi and Thraine. Thraine was very morally distraught about what just happened, but Lionel soothed him with the offer of getting drunk and forgetting about it.
