The people of Europa are filled with anger and resentment—not just because of what happened to Proteus, but because the world seems to have moved on.

The memory still burns fresh: dragons descended upon Proteus, reducing the city to flame and ash, leaving only ruin in their wake. And while Proteus burned, Europa watched in horror, knowing that it could have just as easily been their city. That fear has never left them—it has only festered into paranoia and hatred.

What enrages them further is the knowledge that Faywharf, once a close ally and protector, now actively trades with the dragonborn of the north. To many in Europa, this feels like a betrayal—proof that even their strongest allies have grown complacent or have forsaken humanity’s survival.

Europa has since turned inward. Its gates are tightly controlled, and only humans remain within its walls. Non-human residents have been forcibly exiled, sent south or scattered to uncertain fates. What was once a proud and diverse city has become a bastion of human supremacy, fueled by fear and loss.

Many in Europa look admiringly to Steelrun, seeing it as an example of decisive strength against magical threats. They long for a world where dragons—and all perceived dangers to humankind—are eradicated entirely.

Behind closed doors, Europa’s leaders express a strong desire to join the Druecian Empire, believing the union would give them the power to finally end the dragon threat. But the Empire, wary of provoking a conflict with Faywharf, has so far declined.

Still, Europa waits… and plots. If no one else will take action, they are prepared to do it alone—no matter the cost.
