The Gloamhold

The island now known as Gloamhold was first discovered during a joint expedition led by the famed explorers Dr. Hathaway and Dr. Puddleton, two of the most influential figures in Druecian exploration history. To their surprise, the island possessed a strangely warm, humid climate—completely unlike the surrounding seas—and was teeming with dense jungle and dangerous, unfamiliar wildlife.

Despite the intrigue, the island’s harsh conditions and lethal fauna led most kingdoms of Druecia to avoid settling or developing it. For many years, it remained largely untouched.

That changed in recent times.

Steelrun, now tasked with overseeing the former elven lands of Neathshara, claimed the island as a secure location to house “dangerous elven prisoners” captured during the war. They renamed it Gloamhold, and established a massive prison facility within its overgrown interior.

Few have seen the island up close since its militarization. What happens within the jungle compound remains a mystery—fueling speculation and fear across the Empire.
