-
Thraine and Meowfi set out for Gorbon’s Tower.
-
As they arrive, they speak to Thomas.
- He claims that the Empire will not actually attack the Ashen Maw, but instead The World Tree.
- The Empress claims that the elves are a greater threat, and stunting them of their main source of power is necessary.
- Captain Stein has been overseeing the plans and the Empress is worried he’ll spill the beans.
-
The group walks up to the tower, to see a little man waiting.
-
He introduces himself as Melvin Mibbs, and that he has been waiting for Gorbon to answer for eight hours.
-
They try to get a response from knocking at the door, to no avail. It shocks if you touch it.
-
The group hoots and hollers to hear no response.
-
As Thraine offers a coin, they notice a man running away from the tower.
-
Thomas, Meowfi, and Melvin catch up: he claims to be “Shorbon” and is scared of the wizard.
-
The group eventually gets him to admit that he is actually Gorbon.
-
He is not actually powerful.
-
He claims that the true power lies in the Marchwood Forest to the west, and that we must speak to the trees with reverence.
-
Gorbon refuses to join the group so they take all of his tomatoes.
-
The group heads into the forest.
-
Melvin tells the rest of the group his background, of the history of the great war in Celestara.
-
Massive booms can be heard all around. Melvin believes these to be natural occurrences like earthquakes, but Thraine claims that the noises are caused by Ents.
-
As Melvin yaps about the Ent hoax, one steps right over them. Embarrassing!
-
He wants to meet with the Grandmaster Ent. He knows of the threat on the World Tree, but thinks they have a century until they can get there to defend it.
-
We can speak to the Grandmaster, only under the disguise provided by the Ent. If a cure is not given in 24 hours, the disguised will become a tree forever.
-
Melvin offers himself up.
-
The Ent, named Entberd, drips some sap onto Melvin, who now has barklike, leafy skin.
-
We all head to the Ent meeting.
-
Grandmaster Tree speaks

- After the death of his father, he took the “future device” and set North to defend the World Tree.
- The future device claims that the World Tree will be attacked 100 years from now.
- He shows the future device in his arm, and it looks like an iPad
- It’s Big Treeman, presumably the Grunk’s Little Treeman from long ago.
-
Grandmaster Tree spots Thraine, and grabs him out of Entberd.
-
Thraine offers his mind, and Grandmaster Tree attemps to read it.
-
He grows a root from his beard. Melvin takes it.
-
The root allows us to communicate with the Grandmaster Tree.
-
He also gives us the Fruit of the World Tree. It is extraordinarily rare and the primary ingredient of the Reincarnate spell.
-
The group decides the plan to defend The World Tree.
- Group A, consisting of Thraine and Thomas, will head north to bring Aetheryn in to help.
- If possible, they will also head to the Harmonia Forest and Ashborune to ask them for help.
- Group B, consisting of Meowfi and Melvin, will head south to the Orc clans to ask them to help.
- Afterwards, they’ll warn Paw’Merra, Szin-Ka Dominion, and Nuah-Ki and ask them to help.
- Group A, consisting of Thraine and Thomas, will head north to bring Aetheryn in to help.
